Frequently Asked Questions
We've answered a few questions below to make your MotoSchool experience easier. If you're still unsure of something email: philsmotoschool@outlook.com, call/text 027 7381 275 and Phil will get back to you as soon as possible.
1. What do I need to bring to lessons?
We have bikes and safety equipment available for hire but you can bring your own bikes and equipment also. Otherwise all we would advise is some comfortable clothing which covers your legs and arms and a bottle of water.
2. Are there any age/skill requirements for bookings?
No. We have bikes, equipment and lessons available for every age and skill level. This means kids who can ride a push bike with no training wheels to full grown adults can all get out on the tracks together!
3. Why do you use electric trials bikes for beginners?
Electric trials bikes are great for beginners and advanced users alike for a few reasons:
1) They have adjustable speed levels from a fast walking pace to around 25kms.
2) Clutch-less operation. Although the bikes have a clutch you don't need to use it or worry about changing gears so you can pick up how to ride and start having fun faster.
3) Noise. The electric bikes a little bit quieter and this makes any instruction or advice easier to hear.
4. Are spectators allowed to watch or film lessons?
Yes. If you've made a booking for your kids, family or friends you're welcome to come down to the tracks or sit up on the lookout and watch. We're also happy for you to film the tricks and maneuvers participants are learning and your time at MotoSchool.
5. Can I ride the track without booking?
No. This is a private track and unless otherwise communicated directly there is no public access without booking.
6. How do you get into competing in Trials or Motorcross?
If your having fun riding Trials or MX and want to try competing there's local events and competitions every month. We're happy to assess where you're at skill wise and help you enter your first competition. Book a lesson today, let us know your goals and we'll give you all the info you need to make sure your first competition experience is a good one.
7. Are the Trials/Motocross lessons safe?
Safety is always a priority in our Trials lessons and coaching. We have tracks and obstacles from beginner to advanced level and teach bike skills at an appropriate and comfortable pace to reduce the chance of any injuries. Accidents can still happen while riding a trials or dirt bike and as such we require you to agree to a waiver which is sent with booking information and available to read on our terms and conditions page.
8. How can I cancel or change my booking and are refunds available?
If you need to cancel or change a booking please email philsmotoschool@outlook.com, call/text 027 7381 275 or get in touch through our contact form. If you need to add people or change lesson type for an existing booking we are happy to arrange payment for the change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking refunds are available. 48 hours notice is required for refunds on cancelled bookings.
